TV Rant

Am I the only one getting pissed off about these advertising clips being shown during the primary content on television? It started with the little station logos in the corners, which was relatively acceptable because they were somewhat unobtrusive and helped us navigate amongst the 3,000 stations now available. Then they started to place advertising for upcoming shows – Bravo was the first network I remember seeing this on and a bunch of them now do this. It takes up the bottom third of the screen and totally obliterates whatever the hell you are trying to watch for 30 seconds, moves all over the freaking place and just distracts the bejesus out of you. Now I see that NBC is placing advertising in the lower left hand corner – and leaving it there for the entire f**king show! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! I can’t watch it – it is just too obnoxious and I have to turn the channel. F**k you NBC – I’m outta here.

I couldn't agree with you more. But I notice that you too have more "pop up" ads on your site than ever before!!

Yeah, I know. I didn't want to do it but after Christmas sales just dropped off so much that I had to do something. They should just lay there though - none of those really annoying pop up kinds. I still have some dignity...
