An Ode to Britney and Miley

It begins as an attempt to fill a void. This is why they start screaming LOOK AT ME at such a young age – no one is paying attention to the person inside. Because the focus is so strong, they work hard. They excel and become successful. Fame and money follow. They are then surrounded by sycophants and suck ups, those interested in the money and what this celebrity can do for their own careers. Those that may actually care for them as human beings become few and far between, pushed to the side by the manipulative and self interested. This is often where the drugs enter and they begin to believe the hype that surrounds them, complaining about how the wind is blowing and demanding that something be done about it. Some survive this period, others don’t.

Note to Billy Ray: Don’t take your eye off her for a moment – it has already begun and she seems like a really sweet kid.
